"I reached out to Gillian Verde State Farm to inquire about business insurance and wanted to understand the cancellation policy before committing. As a business owner, I believe it’s important to fully understand the terms of any agreement. I spoke with Sam, who works under agent Gillian Verde. When I asked questions about cancellation terms, I was told that I was “not the right customer” for them because they want to help businesses grow. That response was dismissive and unprofessional. Business insurance is meant to protect against liability and risk, and asking about cancellation policies is a responsible and reasonable question. Unfortunately, this experience reflects the service issues I’ve already encountered with my Home and Auto policies also with a different State Farm agent and I reached out to another agent just to see the type of customer support they provide. Based on this interaction, I cannot recommend this office, nor State Farm overall."

When you contacted our office regarding business insurance, our goal was to better understand your specific situation before providing detailed guidance. In order to accurately explain cancellation terms, we do need basic information such as the business type, coverage needs, and whether you were seeking a quote as a prospective customer or conducting a comparison as an existing State Farm agent. Without that context, it’s difficult to responsibly advise on policy structure or cancellation provisions. When Sam referenced wanting to work with businesses focused on growth, the intent was not to dismiss your questions. Rather, it was to communicate that our agency prioritizes building long-term relationships and helping business owners structure coverage properly from the start — not simply discussing cancellation before understanding the risk or needs involved. We apologize if that message did not come across clearly. We fully agree that asking about cancellation terms is reasonable and responsible. At the same time, we aim to ensure we’re providing accurate information tailored to the right situation, which requires a clearer understanding of the customers circumstances.
